Do you need to learn English or improve your reading, writing, listening and/or speaking skills? Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses will develop your understanding and use of English to help you communicate with ease.

Our ESOL course teachers will help you learn and enhance your grammar and vocabulary for work, study and home life. Whether you are new to the English language, or would just like to improve your existing skills, studying an ESOL course at PLA will give you the confidence to communicate with friends and employers and enjoy life in the UK.

This exciting course is designed to help individuals whose first language is not English, who have recently arrived in the UK or who have been at a UK school for a short time but have few qualifications. You will develop your English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The course includes tutorials, personal and life skills, English and Maths. You will be taught using a variety of engaging and interactive methods allowing you to focus on your own personal targets.

One of the main features of the programme is an emphasis on pastoral support and looking after the individual needs of students, and we will offer advice on housing, benefits and employment.

We offer a variety of ESOL levels: Pre-Entry level, designed for complete beginners that have no English skills, Entry Level 1, 2 and 3 and Level 1.
